About Me

Even the most challenging places within the mind and heart have the potential for new life to flourish. As a wellness coach, my goal is to help people recognize this truth. Although I am new to coaching, I have 25 years of experience counseling adolescents, young adults, and youth of all ages. My background includes 14 years as a public high school teacher and 8 years as a high school counselor, during which I collaborated closely with students, parents, and staff members. For the last 8 years of my career, I was part of a team dedicated to supporting students who were at risk educationally, mentally, emotionally, and socially.

My strongest areas of expertise are youth, young adults, and parents of children of all ages. I chose a coaching program focused on mind-body training because, through my years of counseling and personal experiences, I’ve observed that mental and emotional states are deeply intertwined with physical health. I found that I achieved significant success in helping students manage anxiety and depression by helping them become aware of how their bodies reacted to and held onto stress.

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling, a PPSC degree in K-12 Counseling, and I am certified as a Mind-Body Wellness Coach. Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology. As a retired high school teacher, I also possess current Single Subject Teaching Credentials in Health and Psychology, along with a supplemental credential in Math.

I live in Northern California, and I enjoy watching things grow!
